Nanny Childcare Nannies Weddings:
If the Carer/Domestic fails to comply with the Carer Code of Conduct or any of the Agency’s policies:
(1) included or referred to in the Carer/Domestic Agreement; or
(2) adopted by the Agency from time to time and notified in writing to the Carer/Domestic,
then the Agency may terminate this agreement immediately by notice in writing to the Carer/Domestic.
Carer/Domestic Code of Conduct
(1) The Carer/Domestic must:
(a) abide by all policies, protocols and procedures of the Agency at all times;
(b) comply with all laws, rules and regulations that apply to the Carer/Domestic in their conduct and dealings with children;
(c) respect the rights of children as established in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (1991);
(d) act in the best interest of all children;
(e) ensure that children are not discriminated against on the basis of gender, age, ability, economic status, family structure, lifestyle, ethnicity, religion, language & culture;
(f) perform the Carer/Domestic’s duties during a Placement, to the best of the Carer/Domestic’s ability;
(g) ensure that its behaviour and performance is appropriate at all times during a Placement;
(h) at all times conduct itself in a sober, civil, obliging and inoffensive manner when performing the Carer/Domestic’s duties associated with a placement, which includes refraining from the use of indecent language;
(i) at all times conduct itself in a professional manner during a Placement;
(j) must always maintain a neat and tidy appearance whilst on a Placement;
(k) at all times maintain a professional standard of dress and appearance and must refrain from wearing any clothing with inappropriate pictures, writing or logos;
(l) ensure that they are punctual when arriving for a Placement;
(m) must treat the Client’s residence and family with respect at all times;
(n) refrain from any form of verbal, physical or emotional abuse towards children;
(o) refrain from smoking during a Placement and whilst in the company of a Client’s child/children;
(p) refrain from using any illicit drugs or substances (excluding medication prescribed by a Doctor) whilst registered on the Agency’s books. If the Carer/Domestic is found to be using illicit drugs or substances, the Agency will immediately terminate this Agreement. The Client and the Agency will exercise their right to report any incidents to the appropriate authorities;
(q) refrain from consuming any alcohol twenty-four (24) hours prior to a Placement and also during a Placement. If the Carer/Domestic is found to be intoxicated, under the influence of alcohol or consuming alcohol in the presence of a Client’s child/children, the Agency will immediately terminate this Agreement. The Client and the Agency will exercise their right to report any incidents to the appropriate authorities;
(r) not behave in a manner that is fraudulent, corrupt or unlawful;
(s) not give out their home or mobile phone number, home or email address to a Client or any friend, relative or any third party of a Client without first obtaining written approval from the Agency;
(t) not contact a Client directly to book any additional Placement(s) without first obtaining approval from the Agency; and
(u) not under any circumstances take a Client’s child/children to the Carer/Domestic’s residence or the residence of a friend, family member/relative or partner.
(2) If a Client approaches the Carer/Domestic to perform a Placement for family, friends or other third parties, the Carer/Domestic must direct the Client to directly contact and make arrangements with the Agency.
(3) The Carer/Domestic cannot accept an additional Placement(s) from a Client without first notifying and obtaining instructions from the Agency.
(4) The Carer/Domestic is not permitted to attend any personal appointments (for example doctor, beautician etc) whilst on a Placement.
(5) Only the Carer/Domestic is permitted to care for a Client’s child/children at the Client’s residence or designated venue. Friends, family members/relatives or partners of the Carer/Domestic are not permitted to visit the Carer/Domestic during a Placement.
Information for Carer’s Attending a Wedding or Event Service
All Carer’s attending a Wedding or Event are required to wear a White Shirt, Black Pants and Black Shoes as well as the Agency’s Apron and Name Tag.
All Carer’s attending a Wedding or Event will be paid by the appropriate authorised person before they finish their shift.
The Agency will give details of the authorised person they will need to see for payment of their wages.
